Our kitchens work hard these days – gone are the days when they were simply used to prep food or eat meals, these days we use them as the central hub of the home, entertainment space, homework station, workstation.. the kitchen is the number one space in the home where we like to hang out and chew the cud.
This means that despite the fact that we still want our kitchens to perform wonderfully as a working space when we do get round to the preparing and eating bit – we don’t necessarily want to have to look at all that kitchen gumpf all the time.
So we got good at hiding it and disguising it all behind beautiful doors and cabinets. Creating the perfect space that is the flexible backdrop to our busy lives!
