This playful pair of built-in bookcases are based on the designs of iconic architect Walter Gropius. The client loved the bookcases he had created in the 1920s for his office at The Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany, and wanted to achieve the same look. True to the Bauhaus aesthetic, the use of bold offset lines adds instant character to this interior.
Each unique bookcase was created in Birch Plywood. Colour provides further interest for the eye, with paint in Fired Earth Nightingale. The final touch was a robust lacquered finish, to provide all-important longevity for many years of enjoyment ahead.
